Villainous Villains Part 2
Back for part 2?
There's not particularly any stories about these next few pages other than this was (more or less) the original opening. It started with the heist but once I developed the characters and their backstories, I changed it to what it is now. I felt it was more exciting and has some nice foreshadowing. Though you don't know it yet, that first scene has major implications in the crisis of the story.
Hold on folks, we're just getting started.

PAGE 6
Panel 1: Two superheroes, one of which was the one talking to Captain Wonder on the previous page, walk down a hallway in the science wing of the superhero headquarters, laughing in conversation.
SUPERHERO 1: Guess who came back again today.
SUPERHERO 2: Man, that’s what? The eight times this month? Or is it nine?
SUPERHERO 1: Ten at least.
Panel 2: Through the grates in an air vent a masked woman dressed in black lays on her stomach and watches the superheroes as they walk underneath.
SUPERHERO 1: Have you ever heard of a more pathetic excuse for a superpower? He’s either crazy or stupid to think he could ever become one of us.
Panel 3: As the superheroes round a corner, the grate in the ventilation system can be seen in the ceiling behind them.
SUPERHERO 1: He needs to move on and get a life.
SUPERHERO 2: Yeah.
Panel 4: Same as the last panel only now the superheroes are gone.
Panel 5: The ventilation grate crashes down onto the floor.
Panel 6: The masked woman jumps down from the vent.
PAGE 7
Panel 1: The masked woman peers around a corner and watches the superheroes as they open a heavy security door with a key card.
Panel 2: The superheroes walk into a laboratory.
Panel 3: Just before the door closes, the masked woman slips through.
Panel 4: The superheroes stand around and look at a pedestal in the middle of the room which holds a complicated looking piece of technology. Behind them, the masked woman hides in the deep shadows of the room.
SUPERHERO 1: Anyways, I don’t understand why we have to check on this thing. I mean, it’s not like it’s going anywhere. It’s in the most secure place in the city.
Panel 5: Close up of the piece of technology on the pedestal.
SUPERHERO 2: To be honest, I think the government is still paranoid after the whole force field thing from a couple years ago. It was a close call.
SUPERHERO 1: Yeah, but it was fine. They have nothing to worry about! All the other villains seem to have lost their ambition since he died in that explosion.
Panel 6: The superheroes walk towards the door.
SUPERHERO 1: I doubt any of them could even steal candy from a baby these days.
PAGE 8
Panel 1: The masked woman emerges from the shadows.
Panel 2: She hovers over the technology.
SUPERHERO 1 (off-panel): C’mon, we’d better get back.
Panel 3: The masked woman grabs the piece of technology and looks like a deer caught in the headlights as everything is bathed in red light and alarm lights go off, bathing everything in red light.
ALARM: WOOP WOOP WOOP
Panel 4: The superheroes, standing just in front of the open door, whirl around in surprise.
SUPERHERO 1: What?
Panel 5: The masked woman shoves past them out the door, stuffing the piece of technology into her backpack as she goes.
PAGE 9
Panel 1: Outside, Spam Man taps away on his phone, leaning up against the tall metal gate outside the superhero headquarters.
CAPTION: Meanwhile…
Panel 2: Close up of his phone. He’s typing out an email to the superhero fan mail email address (magnumcityheroes@fanmail.com). The message says: CONGRADULATION! You have just been selected to win 1 MILLION $! NO JOKE!!!!!
Panel 3: Spam Man looks smugly at his phone as Technomancer walks sulkily past him out of the gate.
SPAM MAN: They won’t know what hit ‘em.
Panel 4: On the street in front of Spam Man and Technomancer, a garbage truck drives by and Brain falls out of the back of it and rolls in front of the doors to the superhero headquarters.
Panel 5: In this panel Spam Man, Technomancer, Brain, and Tinman can all be seen in their various positions around the superhero headquarters: Brain lies on the ground by the doors, Tinman walks up the side of the street while Technomancer passes him, and Spam Man still stands by the superhero headquarters.
PAGE 10
Panel 1: The masked woman bursts out the front doors of the superhero headquarters.
Panel 2: As the masked woman frantically runs away, she looks back over her shoulder at the door, not seeing Brain on the ground right in front of her.
Panel 3: Close up of the masked woman’s foot catching on Brain’s jar. She trips over him, to his great confusion and surprise.
Panel 4: The masked woman flies forward in the direction of a surprised Spam Man, Technomancer, and Tinman, who all happen to be standing in her path.
